Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer

Over the last 18 years Andy has led the automotive investment banking efforts at three major financial institutions. He has been involved in over two-dozen major advisory transactions valued in excess of $20 billion as well as over 80 debt and equity financings totaling over $125 billion. As Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Andy is responsible for capital formation and corporate development activities as Carbon Motors develops the world’s first purpose-built law enforcement vehicle.

Andy has served as Senior Managing Director in Investment Banking at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., where he led the company’s automotive practice. In this position, he focused on new business development and transaction execution for the firm’s automotive and automotive-related clients, which covered a number of the world’s top automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.

Previously, Andy served as Managing Director in Investment Banking at Banc of America Securities, LLC, where he led the company’s global automotive and transportation equipment group. He has also held the position of Executive Director in Investment Banking and Co-head of the global automotive practice at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc.

Andy began his career as an officer in the U.S. Air Force where he held several financial and engineering related positions as part of the MILSTAR Systems Program Office. During his four years of service he helped to manage the development of a highly complex and sophisticated satellite communications system.

Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and his Masters degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction in the top one percent of his class.
