Connersville, Indiana Prepares For Carbon Motors

Connersville hopes to sell itself to homeland security company

Members of Carbon Motors’ executive team are due to land in Connersville tomorrow in order to further evaluate the site as a potential location for its campus. Carbon Motors will create 10,000 new direct and indirect jobs and have a $3 billion impact on the selected region.

Connersville lost Visteon last year and is looking for a company to fill the building and replace the 900-plus jobs that left when the plant closed. The city is throwing everything they have at Carbon Motors to attract the company to the area. It’s not only about having signs on almost every street corner – the mayor is also asking everybody to mow their lawn, plant flowers and clean up.
