Carbon Motors™ Partners with Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)
Leading Design School to be Involved in Breakthrough Vehicle
Carbon Motors Corporation and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) will be working jointly on the exterior and interior design of the ‘E7’ purpose-built law enforcement vehicle.
Trevor J Rudderham, Carbon Motors’ VP and Chief Development Officer, commented, “Working on the appearance of any new vehicle is always challenging; working on a ground breaking project such as the ‘E7’ adds unique and exciting dimensions. Involving a world renown establishment like SCAD is a great opportunity for Carbon, which also gives the students and faculty valuable, real world design experience.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Carbon Motors on the design of the world’s first purpose-built law enforcement patrol vehicle,” said Tom Gattis, SCAD chair of industrial design. “The project will expand our students’ skill set and portfolios as they consider the unique human requirements, usability issues and critical thinking skills involved in transportation design.“
