A century ago, we had hundreds of new American automakers on U.S. soil. Today we are down to three – barely! That is not OK.
The United States commercialized the worldwide, $3 trillion automotive industry. Don’t tell us that this same great nation is unwilling, or unable, to provide our law enforcement First Responders with the appropriate equipment they so desperately need. We have done this before. We lit up the country with an electrical grid, we tied it together with the telephone, we laid rail from east to west and north to south, we cross-linked it with a tremendous highway system, we established mass production, we put a man on the moon, and we once dominated the industrial landscape worldwide. We can do it once again – we will innovate and we will compete.
We are calling on all the industrial patriots across the nation. It is time to get to work.
