The White House turns its attention today to reducing the nation’s unemployment rate that currently tops 10%, the highest level in 26 years.
A White House Jobs Summit is scheduled to take place tomorrow and hopes, in particular, to promote “green” jobs – a task already under way by Carbon Motors, right here in the heartland of America. Carbon Motors is hungry to hire and ready to answer the call to put 10,000 new green American jobs of national importance on the scoreboard in Fayette County, Indiana where the jobless rate tops the nation’s by 6% at a staggering 16%.
Building the E7 in Connersville will create 1,550 new direct jobs, 500 supplier jobs and another 8,000 indirect jobs in a state racked by hard times. A purpose-built patrol vehicle that improves officer safety, lowers agency operating costs, boosts fuel economy by 40% and is built in a shuttered brownfield site is undoubtedly of keen interest to the Administration.
Carbon Motors has taken every responsible step to put Americans back to work, and we stand ready to be the catalyst for others to do the same. In light of this fact, we hope that the President’s Main Street Tour will soon meet up with Carbon’s Pure Justice Tour – I’m sure we and 10,000 of our new Hoosier friends could help arrange something right here in Connersville, Indiana!

Great blog! As a young CPA who has a 1.5 our commute to Indianapolis every day because there were no opportunities for me in Connersville, Carbon Motors gives me hope that the maybe someday I can return to my hometown to work. Best of luck!
