I began receiving dozens of calls last Monday from all over the United States, and my Google Alert traffic was off the charts! Everyone was asking if Carbon Motors would be announcing it’s site selection plans next week and speculation mounted that it would be on the 29th in Indiana. The reason for the heightened interest became apparent that afternoon when Carbon Motors received two very important invitations: one from Governor Mitch Daniels and one from Mayor Leonard Urban.
When the State of Indiana was notified of its position in the top three locations being considered for Carbon’s all-inclusive campus, Mayor Urban immediately went to work with the Governor’s office in a final drive to get the ball over the goal line. “It’s the last two minutes of the Carbon Motors Super Bowl, we have no time-outs, the ball is on our one-yard line, and we are determined to win!” Mayor Urban said. “The people of Connersville, Fayette County and the great State of Indiana will gather once again on July 29th at ‘A Rally for American Jobs’ and we would be honored if someone from Carbon Motors would attend.”
Governor Daniels echoed this enthusiasm and stated his intent to keep 10,000 new American jobs of national importance in Indiana. Governor Daniels committed to attend the Rally and extended the same invitation to Carbon Motors. But the list of Champions did not end there. We were further contacted by U.S. Senators Dick Luger and Evan Bayh, U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, as well as many State Legislators. This was clearly on the critical path for Indiana’s entire leadership group, and Carbon Motors was listening.
We were extremely moved by this level of relentless determination and could not let this effort go unnoticed. On behalf of Carbon Motors, we graciously accepted the offer to attend and agreed to send representatives in support of “A Rally for American Jobs” in Connersville, Indiana. I, personally, cannot wait to see what they have in store for us this time!!!

The city of Connersville is extremely excited for this visit from Carbon Motor representatives and Gov. Mitch Daniels. Hopefully we have done enough to keep Carbon Motor's attention focused on Indiana. We desperately need and want this company to announce Connersville, Indiana as it's site selection.
I believe that i would be speaking for everyone here in Connersville THANK YOU VERY MUCH... for acknowledging our relentless determination. As you get to know us better you will find this characteristic strong in everything we do. We will never give up. By narrowing your site location down to three finalist, With Connersville still in the game. We are the small town that wins the championship against all odds. Give us a chance, Become a HOOSIER....You will not be disappointed. Once again thank you for considering Connersville as your future home...
We will be at the rally tomorrow. I know it will be an exciting time. We need jobs in Indiana. People want to work and take care of their families.
I'm impressed by what the city of Connersville has been doing to try and sway Carbon Motors to their city. I can't help but say that Georgia is a better location due to lower taxes and no unions. The people in Georgia are just as anxious for the opportunity and hope that is Carbon Motors' decision.
Connersville In. Is praying GODS WILL for the Job Rally, our leaders, and any announce that might be made.
The strength of the workers and employers in Fayette County: Back in the 1960's, when racial tensions were running high, workers at the Ford Plant in Connersville would have none of it. They came together to not let outside tensions run over and stop a good thing. When the Ford Plant almost shut down in the early 80's due to not having a contract, the company and the union worked together to solve that crisis and began to work together to make sure contract problems never got that far out of hand again. Connersville is the right place for Carbon Motors and whoever else wants to locate there. Workers will come from several counties to work there. Carbon Motors will never regret choosing Connersville as their place of business.
What better way to get the state of Indiana back on track by returning jobs to a community that was once called Little Detroit. The support factorys that the city of Connersville has the location of the factory and the availability of railroad shipping interstate access a short distance away, airport across the street and an unlimited amount of people out of work living within a 30 mile radius. Plus the willingness for a new company to succeed. Especially one with an exceptional product to offer all law enformcement agencies around the world not only in America. They need employees with an attitude thats positive to help build a number one product and Connersville needs them to renew the spirit and pride of a Community who deserves it. May God's Will be done tommorrow and if it is, we give Him the Glory & Praise for answering our prayers.
Let's continue Connersville's great automotive history! Thank you Carbon Motors!
Hi Stacy - You are probably one of the most popular bloggers in Indiana at the moment. I've subscribed to your feed to see what the final decision is. I have a few friends who are praying for an Indiana choice and hoping to land a job with CM. I've not seen this much hope around these parts in a very long time.
Would be great for Carbon to come to Connersville. Just hope the Local Union Supporters will be smart enough to keep the Unions out of this place
Carbon Motors will not find a more welcoming environment, offering a skilled and ready work force, while enjoying Hoosier values.
Thanks, a word which hardly describes our feelings today, but thank you for choosing Connersville. We will not disappoint you. God has surely heard our prayers.

I am excited about the chance for Carbon Motors to come to Connersville. My family and I would really like to move back there and this could be an opportunity to do so!
Although I live in Centerville, I've got my fingers crossed for the people of Connersville. We need these jobs for Fayette, Union, and Wayne County residents.
So where do I send my resume ?
Welcome to Indiana! Thank you for choosing Connersville as the site to build your vehicles. Best of luck to Carbon Motors!
How do I apply for employment at the facility in connersville,IN
Thank you for choosing Indiana! We feel like our prayers have been answered. Soon Detroit will be known as 'little Connersville'. Maybe the entire world will see the E7 as the pace car at the next Indy 500. Listen up Washington! We were down before everyone else decided there was a national recession. Now we are leading the way back!
Thank you for picking our town. It brought tears to my eyes when you announced it. It is going to mean alot for this town.It will for sure put this town back on our feet. I was a Visteon employee for 16 years and my family has struggled for the past 3 years. THis is like a light at the end of the tunnel for alot of people. Once again thak you for choosing our town, we wont let you down.
I think as far as whats best for the company they should stick with Aiken South Carolina. Its a perfect fit.
WELCOME CARBON MOTORS Thank you Carbon Motors for showing faith in the people of C'ville. I think you will find we're in this as a team and share the same goals., a successful business lead with mutual respect and hard work. Lets all roll up our sleeves and make Carbon Motors, the community and the people that will make this a success a place to be proud of for the country. Welcome home Carbon Motors~
I would just like to say thank you Carbon Motors for selecting Connersville as your building site. It was such a moving experience for our community today at the Rally. THANK YOU and welcome to Connersville!!
Thanks for choosing Connersville! We won't let you down! God Bless
where do i send my resume?
Welcome Carbon Motors! Thanks to you we have hope once again in the town of Connersville! We all look forward to what the future will bring!
Welcome, we're so happy to have you in Connersville.
WELCOME to our town and community. I just hope when they do begin to hire their workforce, they will remember the former employees who were there at the end when Visteon closed their doors. Also, when they do their hiring, I hope they not only drug test for marijuana, but also prescription pill abusers. This is a big problem in our town, and they certainly do not need those kind of employees to work on this wonderful new car.
Mr. Li and the entire Carbon Motors family .... Welcome to Connersville! The energy and excitement at today's rally will be contagious. Your announcement is the shot in the arm our economy and community needs. Thank you and we won't disappoint you!
Yawn...all the hawking in the world isn't going to make police depts buy a vehicle thats priced over 75k+ per copy. Thats my opinion period, I talked to them in DC and they can't even compete with bid pricing of a fully deck out balls to the wall Crown vic or other make. I asked them about service and the answer was your fleet mechanic could fix them... I advised him that most dept's were lucky to find a guy that knew metric from standard thread. They have to answer a lot of common sense real world police questions first that any administrator or manager would need to make an informed decision. Presently they are just fishing for some government hack to sweetheart them.
It's not so much a comment, it's just something I've been wanting to say all day, but never really got a chance to... I am very proud to face the fact that our community has worked together through this whole process, and we all gathered together so well at the Carbon motors ralley today, it just made me so proud just to be able to be there standing around watching how everyone was handleling things, and all the people gathered sharing smiles, in fact I don't think I could have smiled more today! I love the fact that Carbon Motors gave us the opportunity to make this happen, and we didn't give up, we finished something very important, something that means a lot to every single person in this community. And I am also proud that every single person in Indiana made a huge difference. So, THANK YOU Carbon Motors for making Fayette county come alive, and shine again, and THANK YOU for handing us the opportunity, and there's one more THANK YOU, it's for not letting all of our hard work go to waste, and for not letting our hopes fall.
Best of luck to Carbon Motor with their venture in Connersville, and thanks to all the people of Connersville along with the local and state official that put out a great effort to show what Indiana and the area has to offer. I grew up in the area, worked during the summers at the old Philco plant and H. H Robertson's during my college days. Still get back there from time to time. I believe that with the local talent, the venture will be a success.
Dear Mr. Li and staff, I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you very much" for choosing Connersville....may God bless all of you for making this happen. Your new car, E7, will be a blessing.
THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK YOU!Iwas at the rally yesterday. It was a very moving experience and I'm so proud of our community and thankful for Carbon chosing us and keeping jobs in America!
Thank you for choosing Connersville for your business site. I was at the American Jobs Rally on Wednesday and to see the enthusiasm and support from this community was very touching and made me proud to be a American in a small town. It brought a tear to my eye to see such fellowship and to witness a decision that I know was the right one. After some exploration on the Internet along with Governor Mitch Daniels affirmation of the quality of the Carbon Motors team, I believe that this company will be successful. Besides the brilliant idea of the E7, they have already made a very intelligent decision in where to locate. Most people in Connersville have deep roots in manufacturing and the auto industry and will be happy, as I am, to be able to exercise their skills into building a product that will be head and shoulders above all comers. This is a product to be proud of, a very American product. Mr. Li is a great speaker and motivator. With him at the helm, and his new automotive savvy workforce, this will be an endeavor that will last as long as there is a need for the police. It is too bad that this vehicle wasn’t already in production, who knows how many children, wives, husbands, parents, etc., might have their families intact and how much sorrow could have been averted.
To all the staff of Carbon Motors. Bless you for bringing this amazing car to Connersville to be built. I am one of many that use to work in that plant. But I don't see myself working there for I have traveled a different path. But I could not be happier for anyone else who will eventually apply in the future. I foresee a very prosporous future for the company and the residents of Connersville and neighboring counties. Again welcome and I hope you will find this town heartwarming and a place to call home for many years to come.
When and where can I apply or send a resume. This is a great opportunity and I would love to be apart of it.
Where can I apply for job at Carbon Motors?
Wow, the time has come and what a great vehicle. Don't forget, when it comes to marketing a great vehicle that 200,000 officers nationwide do their enforcement off the beaten path and they need a special vehicle that is capable of tow packages and off road travel, as well as inclimate weather travel and enforcement. Yep, I am talking about those fish and wildlife, marine patrol and Natural Resource Officers. Perhaps an E8 Carbon Motors Product is in the Future. These are the people that protect our Infrastructures and Ports. Innovation and creativity makes the recession go away and this country a safer Place to raise a family. Thank You for being that kind of company and thank you for choosing Connersville.
Richmond is excited about the new plant too but how or where do we apply for job!
Greenfield excited as well. How do we apply for jobs.
Where do we apply for the job?
no one going to let the cat out of the bag. They want to be loud and clear about the plant, but quiet on hoe to apply. Why?
I would also like to apply for positions to help start the company up and even to be hired in as a factory employee , I just don't know where to send any infomation to persue a career at Carbon Motors .
