I found myself listening intently to two New Jersey State Patrolmen while in Atlantic City this past week. They were pointing at Carbon’s E7 and discussing the little details that make it “purpose-built.” One of them was clearly informed about the vehicle as I heard him say, “Hey! I sent them an email about that!” Although the item to which he was referring was not an idea unique to just him, he beamed with pride in the fact that someone listened to his input.
Trevor J Rudderham, Carbon’s Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, once told me that there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 13,000 parts that make up a production vehicle – 13,000 parts! That’s 13,000 opportunities for members of the law enforcement community to influence the design and functionality of all of those parts. Not to mention the purchasing and delivery options, training, warranty, service, ‘cradle-to-cradle’ design… and even the model name we ultimately use for production.
As we expand the number of stops on the 2009 Pure Justice Tour, we will tackle the technical side of the equation though research and focus groups concentrating on servicing Carbon’s E7 in your fleets. We will continue to work directly with you, and together we will define world-class service through the eyes of law enforcement. It’s past time for us to receive more bang for our taxpayer buck.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to change the face of law enforcement. And just like any crime scene we may have worked in our careers, the evidence of its story is left behind by each of you – your fingerprints are all over Carbon’s E7.
