The Carbon E7 took California by storm in November! It was the center of attention at the world’s largest gathering of law enforcement administrators in San Diego at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference with 7 camera news crews hovering over The Machine. It wooed the vehicle enthusiasts, law enforcement officers and tech savvy of Silicon Valley in the showroom of Club Auto Sport. And according to countless people who stated that it was the “coolest thing in the entire convention center”, the E7 stole the show at the International Auto Show in San Francisco.
People from all over the globe are so hungry for a product that truly meets their needs that they were willing to quite literally travel just to see the first of its kind. And confirming our belief that this is the right product at the right time, many did not care that we won’t announce pricing until late next year. They still reserved vehicles for the first five years of production so that they would not be left behind, with new reservations coming in every day!
We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the many different reactions of the spectators. We found people coming back several times, each time bringing friends or colleagues with them. There were children who gazed upon the brightly lit Machine in amazement. Ordinary citizens wished us only the best and thanked us for our efforts. The San Jose and San Francisco Police were inundated with requests to join the ranks of the sworn so that the new recruits might someday find themselves behind the wheel of an E7. We even had a number of requests to be arrested so that one could “sample the goods.”
So like the Gold Rush of the late 1840s, many descended upon California in November hoping to discover a treasure and when they found that treasure, they allowed themselves to dream of a better tomorrow. Many acted in ways that others don’t appreciate or comprehend. And many reserved the rights for future mining expeditions by staking their claims now. It’s another landmark moment in American history.
