Indianapolis, IN: 2008 Pure Justice Tour
We just had a great day in Indianapolis! It’s been just under a week since we started the 2008 Pure Justice Tour in Chicago and we are already off to a phenomenal start. The Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (the state’s only law enforcement training center) was kind enough to host Carbon Motors and representatives from law enforcement across the state come in to see Carbon’s E7. A few people who drove from as far as Louisville, Kentucky just to get a look at the vehicle said it was well worth the drive and gave us their overwhelming approval!
Throughout the day we also had groups of excited cadets come through, hoping the E7 would be the vehicle they drive when they graduate and go into service. Some even asked where the first vehicles would be delivered so that they could begin to explore a possible transfer. Interesting – based on the number of times we heard this, I can see the E7 generating quite the supply of potential new officers.
As a former officer myself, and one of the original founders of Carbon Motors, I was thrilled and honored to introduce the car to the audience who attended. Just as in Chicago, the press took footage for the local news in Indianapolis and was very enthusiastic and favorable about what we are doing.
The vehicle was a hit. Some stayed for hours to look at it from every angle, and to spend time getting a feel for what it will be like to drive the E7 when it is available. I can only imagine the excitement that we’ll generate with the over 15,000 law enforcement professionals expected to attend the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference & Exposition in San Diego (November 8-12). I guess I should apologize in advance for the traffic jam we will surely create in the San Diego Convention Center…
