It was great that we were able to kick off the 2008 Pure Justice Tour in my hometown of Chicago. I have enjoyed the last 15 years living here in this vibrant city and witnessed first hand the tremendous contributions and support that the Chicago law enforcement community has provided Carbon Motors in the development of the E7 over the last several years. It was also great to have my family come to the unveiling and see this first of a kind police car (my kids were very excited to see the car and are proud of what their dad is working on). It was equally satisfying to watch the NBC and FOX news crews set up their gear, listen to William Santana Li (our Chairman and CEO) give the speech of his life, and then go home that night to watch the great coverage we got. The mission of Carbon Motors is to provide a long overdue solution to our nation’s law enforcement first responders and it was gratifying to see the positive reaction from both the media and our ultimate customers. To top it off, we had law enforcement folks not only from the metro Chicago area come in to see the car, but officers drove from Wisconsin, Missouri, and Minnesota just to get a glimpse of the Carbon E7. Their reaction to the car was overwhelmingly positive and the momentum is building for the company. The convergence of an intense focus on improving our homeland security capabilities, the need to address the energy crisis, and the opportunity to create new American jobs has made the goal of Carbon Motors critically important. Days like this are what make being a member of the Carbon Motors team so rewarding.
